Question : Which USB bridge chip is used?
Answer : All RS232 and RS485 converters are based on FTDIs FT232R chip, that we consider is the best and most stabile USB chip on the market.
 
Question : Does it works with Windows 10?
Answer : Yes, we have released Win 10 drivers that can be downloaded from our support section.
 
Question : Err - what about Linux?

Question : How do I access the ports?
Answer : The drivers installs the USB232 and USB485 as virtual comports, and then they are available just like other comports in your PC
 
Question : How do I switch the 2 wire, half duplex USB485-STISO between Rx and Tx mode?
Answer : You don't! It's default in Rx mode, and when you write to it, it changes to Tx mode, and automatic switch back to Rx mode after everything is transmitted
 
Question : Should I use termination resistors for the USB485?
Answer : The specification says 120 Ohm in each end, but in most cases it works fine without.
 
Question : Where do I get some basic RS485 information?
Answer : Wikipedia are good for a intro for the beginners, since it's short and precise : Wikipedias RS485 article  Another great site is Lammertbies
 
Question : What terminal program are the best match for USB232 & USB485?
Answer : Well, any terminal program goes, since it's just to access the comports, so the good old hyperterminal included in the older windows is fine, and more experienced could use Realterm download from sourceforge
 
Question : Which baudrates are supported?
Answer : 300, 600, 1200, 1800, 2400, 4800, 7200, 9600, 14400, 19200, 38400, 57600, 115200, 230400, 460800, 921600 Bps
 
Question : Which Tariff codes for custom and / or Intrastat should be used?
Tariff code : 8471 80 00 00. Country of origin : DK (Denmark).
 
Question : Can private people buy here, or is it only for companies?
Answer : Yes, you are welcome to shop here. Just beware that you are also charged 25% danish VAT if you are from an EU country.
